Bob had an idea
The thing is, to feel beautiful, you've got to feel comfortable. It's a bit difficult to feel good while being intimidated.
That's why Bob created beauty brands. It's a friendly, approachable place where you can shop to your heart's content and feel okay asking lots of questions.
Bob developed the innovative beauty brands concept in 1995—the first salon, spa and superstore of beauty products of its kind. He assembled an outstanding team of professionals who have led beauty brands to its success. These are people who know their stuff—people from major national corporations with extensive experience in building national brands.
In February 2009, David Bernstein was named President of beauty brands. He succeeds his father, Bob Bernstein — who founded the company and maintains an active role in the business as CEO. Bob is also the co-founder of Bernstein-Rein Advertising. His ad agency, started in 1964, is the eighth-largest independent advertising agency in the country.*
He has firsthand knowledge in developing advertising and marketing for a number of client franchises. As a multiunit franchisee of Blockbuster Video, Bob has put his experience to the test.
Another facet of Bob's expertise that has truly become his trademark is his dedication to community. Bob believes that companies can benefit from being part of the community in which they operate. Naturally, this philosophy is important to the beauty brands concept. It's an excellent way to give back to the community at the same time.
